Peter Cochrane, Futurist, UK
Peter Cochrane is a futurist, business mentor, advisor, consultant, and angel to a wide range of government departments and international companies in the UK and USA. Throughout his career, Peter has worked across a broad spectrum including: circuit, system, and network design; software production and manufacture, machine programming, switching, and transmission; human interfaces; adaptive systems and control; AI and AL; company transformation and management system design. Peter was formerly CTO and head of research for British Telecom. Mark Roden was an early director of Esat Telecom, a competitor to the former state-owned telephone company (PTT) in Ireland, eircom plc. In Esat, Mr. Roden’s responsibilities included the establishment and development of Esat’s commercial division including sales, marketing and customer care which he managed until 1997. In 1995 Esat won the 2nd GSM cellular licence in Ireland and listed on NASDAQ in 1997 and was sold to British Telecom plc for $2.4 billion in 2000.In September 2001 Mr. Roden founded easycash, a retail cash ATM operator, which pioneered the development of in-store cash ATMs in Ireland, particularly SPAR and ESSO retail chains. In eighteen months easycash became the largest independent ATM operator in Ireland with 500 ATMs and was subsequently acquired in 2004 by the Royal Bank of Scotland.Mr. Roden is now executive Chairman and CEO of ezetop, which enables workers in developed countries to remit or send airtime instantly to mobile phones back home in their original countries. To date, ezetop has secured key agreements with leading operators including Digicel, Telenor Pakistan, Mobilink and Banglalink. Born in 1968 in Istanbul, Mehmet Aksel graduated from Michigan University, Business Administration. He started his professional career in the automotive industry but soon enough felt that his path was in the food & beverage sector. Aksel teamed up with Tuğrul Şavkay, the leading gourmet of the country and opened 3 restaurants.
His years in the food & beverage sector clearly showed him that the most critical need of the industry was professional kitchen staff. He moved on to found Mutfak Sanatları Akademisi (MSA) in 2004.
